Welcome to Hallmark HIPS
Hallmark HIPS is a company formed by a group of independent solicitors and surveyors in 2005 to provide a solution to the Home Information Pack requirements. It aims to ensure there are minimal delays resulting from the requirement to produce a Home Information Pack (HIP) and that estate agents and sellers are able to market their residential properties as quickly and efficiently as possible. The Hallmark HIP will also be a quality document which will reflect well on both the estate agent and seller.
All residential properties are now subject to the Home Information Pack legislation and will need a HIP before the property can be sold. Under the current law the property can be marketed for sale as soon as a HIP has been "commissioned" and Hallmark HIPS are able to deal with this within minutes. It is however proposed that from the 1st June 2008 the marketing cannot start until the HIP has been produced. We will continue to keep you updated on whether this important change is introduced.
Since the introduction of the new regulations Hallmark HIPS have worked towards producing a top quality HIP. On average the Hallmark HIP is now being produced within five working days and the HIP is produced in both an online version and a high quality bound document which is fully compliant with the current regulations. A large number of estate agents are already making using Hallmark HIPS to obtain their HIP, together with making orders through the Hallmark Solicitors.
Hallmark HIPS continues to provide a high quality but also straightforward HIP service. Freedom of choice is given to agents members. They can either order the HIP through the online system or request the HIP through a Hallmark Solicitor. Payment can be made through a number of options, to include a deferred interest free option. The HIP can also now be ordered without the agent involving themselves in the payment. When ordering on line arrangements can be made for this to be dealt with by the Hallmark HIPS helpdesk.
